KICK OFF IN THE HELIODORO [Tenerife v Lazio 29/10/96]








BEFORE THE MATCH
Andy with friends Pam and Al before the Lazio match [29/10/96]. The kick off was at 9.30 pm and the temperature was 25 degrees centigrade!






ANDY'S FIRST GAME AT THE HELIODORO
A 5-3 win over Real Zaragoza with the two final Tenerife goals scored in injury time. The first time I have ever eaten an ice cream at half-time in a football match and possibly the first time I watched a match with Jeff Nixon when we wanted the same side to win!






ANOTHER MEMORABLE GAMEand another 5-3 win - this time against Lazio.

THE GATEWAY TO THE OLD HERRADURA with the new Herradura stand behind it.

The ticket office is just to the right of this monument in the bottom of the new stand itself. On matchdays there many stalls selling flags, scarves and other souvenirs of Tenerife (and other clubs) in this area.
