The Canary Islands "derbi" in Las Palmas
5th April 2008
The
second "derbi" of the season saw Tenerife 6 points of the lead in the Segunda
División and Las Palmas near the bottom of the table. However this means nothing
when it comes to these fiercely contested games as the 2-2 draw at the Heliodoro
earlier in the season proved.
The passion of Tenerife fans was evident
from the moment we arrived at the ferry terminal in Santa Cruz at 11.30 am to
collect tickets for the 2 pm sailing.
