The Canary Islands host a number of football teams who play in the Spanish league system including Club Deportivo Tenerife whose home ground is the Estadio Heliodoro Rodriguez Lopez in the capital city of Santa Cruz (an easy journey on the motorway by car or bus from most of the main tourist resorts visited by British and other European visitors). UEFA Cup semi-finalists in 1996-97 and in the Primera División for all of the nineties Tenerife were relegated in 1999 but were promoted at the end of the 2000-2001 season, however they were again relegated in May 2002 and now play in the Segunda División.

These pages give information about the club and how to watch matches plus lots of up to date news on the Latest News page. On most Saturday or Sunday evenings the result of that weekend's game will be on the Latest News page shortly after the match. Other news, comment, pictures and match previews will also appear inbetween matches.

There is also information about current players and how to watch matches if you are visiting Tenerife as well as sources of other information about the club and the island of Tenerife. Tenerife also play away games in places easily accessible from Spanish holiday resorts and in some of the big cities. The buttons lower down the page are links to take you to all of this information.

I manage to watch several games a year but maintain the site from where I live near Taunton, England using information from the internet, radio, satellite TV and newspapers but also from the many people who contact me about the "blanquiazules" (blue and whites) so if you visit Tenerife and watch the team or if you live there and have any information to pass on please e-mail me.

I also support STOKE CITY the English Premiership team. You can read about Stoke in the pages maintained by the excellent Oatcake Fanzine.

Please send me an e-mail at Peña Internet if you have any ideas for the development of this page, any information on CD Tenerife or just wish to get in touch!
